LORD HELP MY UNBELIF

Have you a mountain in your life that refuses to move? Maybe it is a health issue, high blood pressure or diabetis, an emotional crisis, a broken marriage or relationship with your kids or family or friends, maybe financial bondage every time you think you have a breakthrough something breaks down and wipes out your efforts. The mountain stands firm day after day, month after month year after year. It will not move. You have prayed about it. You have spoken the word of God in faith. You have been a wise man and commanded it to move yet there are no visible results. Then you begin to think you are like Paul who had a thorn in his flesh. He prayed for God to remove it and God answered, my grace is sufficient so you decide this is your thorn in the flesh and you just get used to it being there. You live with it, walk around it and pray other prayers that bless and heal others and you continue to walk in faith. It reminds me of the story of the Father whose grown son has grand maul seizures. He takes him to the disciples and asks them to heal him. They try but cannot. The Father is determined and takes him to Jesus. He says the disciples could not heal his son and asks Jesus to heal him. Jesus asks how long has he had this and the Father says since he was a child. The Father was a wore out caregiver. The fits had often thrown his child into the fire and into the water. The Father had to save him over and over through the years. Jesus said if you will believe and the Father said, I believe Lord but help my unbelief. When the Father looked at Jesus he believed but when he looked at his son, his circumstance, the years of an unmovable mountain of doubt and unbelief surfaced. Jesus spoke to that deaf and dumb spirit commanding it to come out. A final jerk of the young man's body and the spirit came out. The holy spirit just spoke to me and said read what you have written. Jesus spoke to a deaf spirit and it obeyed. Deaf spirits cannot hear, but this one heard the word of God. Now if that does'nt light your fire your wood is wet. We know by the scripture of Elijah that wet wood does not offend God, He moves in faith anyway. The young man was slain in the spirit but the unbelievers murmured that Jesus had killed him. Just like the religious crowd, they did not believe Jesus could heal him but believed he had killed him. After the healing the disciples asked Jesus why they could not heal him. Jesus said because of your unbelief. I believe Jesus had to use the gift of faith that day which is different than general faith because He was surrounded by doubt and unbelief. So if you face an old mountain in your life that refuses to move perhaps you should change your prayer to Jesus help my unbelief. God Bless,LINDA
