THE SPIRIT OF POVERTY

I am 5th generation poverty. I have been trying to weed my garden(my mind) of poverty thoughts for years. I think I have finally got them all and boom one breaks forth. My parents grew up in the depression eating lard and sugar sandwiches. My grandparents who raised their children during this time were horders .When my grandmother passed there were hundreds of egg cartons paper bags string and balls of once used tin foil. Grandparents and parents raised their food and stored it in 1 or 2 freezers and home canned jars always afraid they would run out. If meat was on sale they bought more than enough and put it in the freezer where the following year a good part of it was freezer burned and wasted. Poverty thoughts are taught as we grow and we don't realize how they order our life. I will not pay more than 2.00 for a bag of potatoes now isn't that silly I can pay 5.00 but I won't..... I'll do without first. When I was raising my children and all five were at home my husband had a heart attack and never worked again. I became a coupon addict. At that time they were giving double value. I would get up at 4 am and go buy three Sunday papers and they had a coupon catalogs in them then. I would cut out all the coupons consult three grocery ads for different stores and armed with my list and coupons I would buy 80.00 worth of groceries for under 20.00. My children ate products they had never tasted before and I got many items for free because often the double coupon would be more than the product. I heard a preacher talking about the bondage of the spirit of poverty. He said children are trained in these thoughts. For instance you go to Mac'y Dee's and get the 1.00 menu never the full meal deal and when the kids finally get a big mac they feel almost ashamed as if they did not deserve them. They have been trained to believe they are only worth the dollar menu. What we see on the inside manifests on the outside. When opportunities come by that grown child often lets them pass by because of this poverty spirit which can not see a better life or job or whatever. You have to see it inside before it can manifest outside. A couple of years ago God told me to stop dressing like I WAS POOR. I had good clothes in my closet to wear them. I changed my appearance and started wearing dresses and some jewelry. I got compliments every where I went which made me feel good about myself. I like that feeling it changed something in me. A few months later God told me to quit acting like I was poor.....Jesus was poor that I might be rich....... That is harder for me.... It has been programmed into me, but I am determined to do as He said. One day God told me my harvest was coming in. I replied with relief, oh goody, I'll get my wheel barrow and He said bad thinking..... get a dump truck......wow.....wow.....I only had a vision of wheel barrow harvest and He put a vision of dump truck harvest into my mind my vision changed.... His thoughts are higher than my thoughts........The preacher said when he was young and had no car he had to ride the bus but he trained himself as a child not to let poverty thoughts within his mind. When he rode the bus he said, Jesus was poor that I may be rich. That driver is my chauffer. Isn't that a good thought.....Just rattling...... but I know there are many who war against this spirit and I am here to tell you without a vision the people perish look at yourself the way God does and defeat that spirit....God has plans for you that you may prosper and be in good health even as you soul prospers......there is not one poverty thought in heaven. Our Father doesn't play in that mud puddle and we should not either... God Bless I love you LINDA

A RUSHING MIGHTY WIND AND TONGUES OF FIRE

We recently celebrated Pentecost, one of God's Holy Days. Pentecost came 50 days after Passover when Christ became our passover lamb. Before Jesus ascended to heaven he told 500 believers to tarry in Jerusalem until the comforter((the Holy Spirit)) came. As the days passed many lost their faith and gave up on the promise and left off the tarrying. There were only 150 left when the Holy Spirit fell that day when the believers were all in one place in one accord. It was a corporate anointing. The Holy Spirit came as the sound of a rushing mighty wind and tongues of fire were seen over their heads and they began to speak with other tongues. This was God's second greatest gift. A way for us to walk for Him and speak for Him in this earth. We are His hands and feet on this earth. Mary the mother of Jesus was in that crowd. Can you see her so full of joy she acted drunk and was speaking in tongues? Jesus replaced His mother's grief with joy unspeakable and full of glory.......not a vision I had ever imagined till I read the scriptures......Acts 2....... Read it for yourselves and when the power fell on them they did many miracles and wonders. Did you experience a rushing mighty wind..... a move of the Holy one on May 23rd The Day of Pentecost? Did you agree to tarry there for God to bring your gift? Did you experience joy unspeakable and full of glory froth with miracles and wonders or did you get tired of tarrying and go home? God Bless I love you, LINDA

ELIJH MUST COME BEFORE THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THELORD

I have heard many passionate preachers give out a message of fear that Jesus could come tonight in the next few minutes. That we better make ourselves right with God or we would end up left behind. I always thought to myself hasn't the man read the book? Jesus will not come back tonight or in the morning because Elijah must come first. This is the last promise given in the last book of the Old Testament in the last chapter....Behold Elijah the prophet must come before the great and terrible day of the Lord and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their sons and the hearts of the sons to their father's............ I have seen no evidence of the spirit of Elijah coming until the last few years, now their are many Christian men's organizations and conferences teaching fathers to be fathers and teaching sons to be fathers. To become the heart of the Father. When the Jews have their passover meal they set an empty plate at the table for an expected guest Elijah the prophet. The children open the door and call out his name inviting him in. They know when Elijah comes the Messiah will follow shortly. Recently a converted Jew explained that Elijah was the wild branch that provokes the original branch to Jesus. When Christ was on the mount of transfiguration with Moses and Elijah and him and his disciples went down the mountain the first question they asked him was about Elijah and he confirmed that Elijah must come first before the day of the Lord. Why not Moses? We know about Moses we know about his family we know he is of the original branch a Hebrew later known as Jews. We know nothing about Elijah or his family or background. They called him Elijah the Tishbite. Their is no country named Tishbi. The Hebrew translation means he was a stranger an alien in the land just as Ruth was an alien and became the great great grandmother of David whose line Christ came from. Elijah represents the wild branch the Gentiles. Eph. tells about two men becoming one new man referring to the circumcised and uncircumcised. We are seeing an enormous number of Christians come to the understanding that Passover is God's Holy Day, not a Jewish holiday. We are the Elijah (the wild branch) come to dinner to provoke the Jews to Jesus. That is good teaching beloved of God. I love you God Bless LINDA

MOSES WAS NEVER DESTINED TO ENTER THE PROMISED LAND

I remember reading the story of Moses as a child. I remember how sad I was at the ending. I always like to end my stories with happily ever after. Iremember crying for Moses and thinking it was unfair of God not to forgive him of his sin smiting the rock twice instead of once as God told him to. I understand the rock was representing Christ and that He could only be crucified once. Moses had a rough life. He was 120 when he died. He had spent the last 40 years putting up with whiners and complainers who hated him and cursed his leadership. It did not seem fair that he could see the promise but not enter into that promise. Now I have learned that Moses was never destined to enter the promised land because he was the law giver. The law can lead you to the promise but you can not enter the land of grace through the law. You have to enter by faith the law kills. At Mt. Sinai if an animal or person touched the foot of the mountain they died. The letter of the law killeth. The promised land was a type of Christ, the land of grace. The desire of David's heart was to build a temple for God but God told him no, you are a bloody man of war and you will not build my house your son will. However David was a very rich man from the spoils of war and funded the building of the temple. Without the law there could be no grace, Without sin (breaking the law) (sin is the transgression of the law) there could not be a Savior. We have two mountains in our life. The Christian legalist who say thou shalt not will always go to Mt. Sinai and the other will go to Mt. Calvary were grace will usher in mercy who offers forgiveness which leads to love which leads to the Christ our rest and our hope. Which mountain will you visit my friend? May your days be blessed with grace and life. God Bless I love you, LINDA

BLOW THE HORN OF PRAISE

Blow the horn of praise,
That ushers in His kingdom,
For we are God's future,
His daughters and His sons.

JESUS HAD NO RED SAUCE

I HAVE HAD SOME STARTLING REVELATIONS THIS WEEK ! The Holy Spirit said to me, Jesus had no red sauce. Now that is a strange thing to say, so I thought on this word and what it could mean. We read our Bible and because we are from the western culture we tend to put western concepts and traditions on it when in fact it was written from the mind set of the eastern culture from a Jewish perceptive. That perceptive is alien to our culture. Alien to our nature of understanding. It is like putting ketchup on a kocher food. Jesus had no red sauce. Until the late 1800's no one ate tomatoes because they were believed to be poisonous. Then one brave soul tasted the fruit and found it was good and not poisonous as supposed and from that came a mass of uses. Can you imagine a life without ketchup, pizza, spagettii sauce, salsa, tomato juice, tomato soup, tomato sandwiches, lettuce and tomato salads. I am not sure I can make a meal without a tomato based product in it. Yet Jesus never had red sauce. The Bible does not tell us what the forbidden fruit is...... Religious teachers assume it was an apple but what if it were a tomato.........I have seen vines as tall as trees.........just random thoughts. I thought about the scriptures that tell us what Jesus ate....corn, fish, whole wheat bread, unlevened bread, lamb, bitter herbs. He ate fish for breakfast, not eggs bacon and toast. He fed the 5000 with fish and bread to sustain them. We know that fish is brain food. What if tomato products are non-brain foods? The world tells us that tomato's are good for us and have chemicals that improve our bodies, but the world also tells us that gambling, fast food and drinking are the thing to do and we know that indulging in these things can bring about our destruction. Do Jews eat red sauce? I think not Ollie. I love tomato's and all kinds of red sauce. I live on tomato's in season, but I have determined in my heart to do a forty day fast of tomato and tomato products to see if the lack of red sauce in my body causes any changes in the way my body functions. I believe that God only speaks to me when He expects me to move in faith on the word He has spoken. JESUS HAD NO RED SAUCE! I'll let you know what happens at the end of the fast. It may only be a matter of obedience to bring me to a place I can hear His voice more clearly. God Bless I love you, LINDA

A PEARL OF GRACE

A pearl of grace was hidden for me,
Wisdom came along for company,
Truth and faith joined the group,
Healing and salvation completed the troop.

Of course love was the cheerleader,
Who directed the band,
The blood cried from the throne,
None shall be lost who are put in my hand.

Fruit was bore of love peace and joy,
Developed the pearl of grace,
A cloud of hope surrounded them,
Preparing to meet Him face to face.

THE CYCLE OF HOPE

HAVE YOU EVER GOT WHAT YOU HOPED FOR? Have you ever got what you prayed for? Can you remember a time in your life when there was no hope? When you couldn't see a way out. It looked hopeless and then a nail scarred hand reached to the depths of your despair and lit a small flame of hope and it grew and grew. It started dispelling the darkness and hope was born. Then the victory came....demons fled ...faith grew... Hope was now all you could see. Then you got what you hoped for. What happens now? Well I will tell you. God has written your destiny of hope in Romans 5......Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom we also have access by faith unto this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the HOPE of the glory of God. ( and then he says the strangest thing) And not only so, but we glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patients: and patients, experience(character) and experience hope...... So there we have it the cycle of hope.......first comes suffering, then patients which builds character which brings hope..... And hope maketh not ashamed.... Aren't you glad the suffering always ends in hope. Praise His Holy Name...... Take the life of David a man after God's own heart... He killed a lion... Then he got a bear and then he got Goliah then King Saul and then his very own son. Each suffering victory ended in the hope of glory... I heard a preacher say when ever we are exiting a season of our life and enter into a new season God will always send us a Goliah but though we tend too think Goliah is a wall...... he is actually the door to our next season. Isn't that a good word filled with HOPE! I love you God Bless Linda

FOR YOUR FRIG

Several years ago a friend gave me this for my frig........

This is my Bible.
I am what it says I am.
I have what it says I have.
I can do what it says I can do.
Today I will be taught the Word of God.
I boldly confess, my mind is alert, my heart is receptive.
I will never be the same, in Jesus name!

THE DEVIL'S TOOLS

It was advertised the devil was going to put his tools up for sale.On the date off the sale, the tools were placed for public inspection. Each tool marked with the sale price.
They were a treacherous lot of implements.... Hatred, envy, jealousy, deceit, lying, pride and so on.
Laid apart from the rest was a harmless looking tool, that appeared to be heavily used. And was priced very high.
What is the name of this tool? Asked one of the purchasers, pointing to it. That is discouragement, replied the devil.
Why have you priced it so high?
Because it is more useful to me than all the others. I can pry open and get inside peoples hearts with that when I can not get near them with my other tools. Once I get inside, I can make them do what I choose. It is badly worn because I use it on almost everyone, since very few people know it belongs to me.

THE DESTINATION IS THERE

I heard a story of an old man who died and left his son an inheritance.... His family Bible... The son never opened the book for 20 years after his father's death. When he finally opened the book between every page was a 100 or 1000 dollar bill. His father had truly left him a rich inheritance. How sad..... I can't imagine not opening the book for 20 years. Today I took down an old Bible I had worn out after carrying it for 15 years. I opened it and found a forgotten treasure. I had done a 7 day fast in August of 2002 seeking a word from God. I received that word written it down and slipped it into the pages of my favorite Bible and forgotten about it. As I read the word given to me by Him it spoke to my spirit again. Once God gives you a word He does not repent....... The word is forever.... I would like to share that word with you.

August 14, 2002....The Lord would not lead you into a burning barn least He enter with you. You shall not be utterly destroyed. Truth will be your path in the darkness. Glory shall shine out of your face and you shall be a blessing in the uttermost parts of the nation. Demons shall flee and demons shall fall. As the eagle lifts his wings to the heavenlies so shall you be lifted to my high places. The throne of grace shall be your courage and protection. The blood of my Son shall cover your hands.
Mercy and peace shall prevail in the land of the wicked. Angels will surround you as you go, silencing the the weapons of your enemies. The light you leave behind shall not be extinguished and the salt shall not lose it's flavor. Men will seek you out to learn of my glory. Exhortation and wisdom of the Word shall flow from your lips. You will be slow to speak and quick to listen. Marvelous works and wonders will pave the way while you await my glorious day.

HE CALLA

Listen carefully,
A soft quiet voice calls to me,
He calls me into intimacy,
Breaks my hardened heart with mercy,
He calls, He calls, He calls, to me.

I am compelled to answer on my knees,
That's where I find forgiveness and ease,
Burdens are lifted easily,
When my eyes see that blood soaked tree,
He calls, He calls, He calls, to me!

ODE TO A FREIND

THIS IS POEM I WROTE AS A TRIBUTE TO FREIND..........

I know a lovely Lady,
Who lives on the other side of town.
Mercy is in her words,
A truer friend can not be found.

She is a nurturing mother,
Of that no one can deny,
Her heart can be broken,
But you'll never see her cry,

She'll put your feelings before her,
Even if you have caused her pain,
She'll lift you up and encourage you,
And love you once again.

Her sacrifices has brought courage,
Determination to do God's will,
Discouragement has plagued her,
She commands it with God's word, "Peace be still."

She walks in faith in the morning,
She walks with faith at night,
She surrounds you with her arms of love.
And holds on with all her might.

She imitates her Savior , Jesus,
To love others as you love yourself,
She is truly the King's daughter,
Giving all to you instead of herself.

She has the gift of hospitality,
Of that you can't help but noticed,
She is a faithful musical Sabbath Keeper,
And on the plan of God she is focused,

My life is richer for knowing her,
Of that there is no doubt,
And her compassion working with children,
Is truly something to shout about!

WHEN GOD CALLS YOU NAMES

FROM BIRTH WE ARE TAUGHT NAME-CALLING IS A BAD THING. Someone says you are not good enough. Someone says you will never amount to anything. They rob you of your self esteem. You begin to feel worthless... Less than what you are.Name calling can alter your whole life. So why do we pay attention to the names the world calls us and fail to respond to the names God calls us. God has been calling us names for generations. Names like Holy, sons and daughters of God, priests and kings, beloved, saved, delivered, peacemakers, a chosen generation, blessed, light, salt, redeemed. I repeat name calling can alter your life. Hear the names God calls you beloved and change you perceptive.......God's name calling is your true destiny.........God Bless, Love You, LINDA

LORD I HAVE WALKED THIS WAY ALONE BEFORE

I have just completed an amazing adventure with the Lord tonight. My prayer partner and I were going to a revival in Webb City this evening and she was unable to go so I went alone (almost) so Jesus and I and the angels had a great celebration in the car on the way down and He gave me a new song no man has heard, no man has sang. He is soooo gooood to me. The praise and worship there manifested the presence of God.... When the songwriter wrote the words.....Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel His mighty power and His grace . I can feel the brush of Angel wings, I see glory on each face. Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place... The presence of the Lord was truly in that place. I did not want to leave that atmosphere so I brought it home with me. On the way home He gave me the rest of the song.............

Lord I have walked this way alone before,
I have done this thing alone before,
And Lord I'll do do do it again,
By faith in Him.

My mountain was so tall,
I didn't realize it could hide,
The valley of deliverance
On the other side.

My rainbow's waiting there,
Just for me,
To speak the word of God,
Which forms my destiny.

I've read the end of the book,
And I know I shall win,
By the word of my testimony,
And the blood of the lamb.

I shall stand in victory,
Beside the Crystal Sea,
By the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords,
Singing, Holy, Holy, Holy.

Lord I've walked this way alone before.
I've done this thing alone before,
Lord I will do do do it again,
By faith in Him.

LITTLT BOYS MUD PUDDLES AND PUPPY TALES

This a poem I wrote about a younger brother. We lose something precious when we put away childish things and become an adult. Sometimes it is good to remember how good being a child was........

Little boys, mud puddles and puppy tales,
Giggling and barking around the corner of the house they sail.
There is a terrific mud puddle, jump in and make a splash.
Tumbling on to the next one they dash.
The puppy growls and barks when a stranger arrives.
The stranger growls back and under the sofa he hides.
The boy throws the ball and the puppy brings it back again.
He won't give it up , but plays tug of war and then....
You stretch out in front of the T.V.
Puppy lays beside you thumping his tail merrily.
Back outside and on the bike you go,
Puppy sits in the basket, so he won't get lost, don't you know.
The boy falls to the ground, puppy rains doggy kisses on his face.
Then they are gone again without a trace.
The silence is loud as a search is made.
They've fallen asleep under the tree in the shade,
Splatters and splashes of mud on the boys clothes and face.
Puppy lays on the boys neck,he has found his place.
Friends to the end they will ever be.
Full of fun and frolic for all to see.
They live life to the fullest, oh what a delight.
Little boys, mud puddles and puppy tales, what a sight.
When did it happen, when did I get too old to be free?
To enjoy life like that little boy and his puppy?
If the shadows of my memory serve correctly,
Many many years ago, that little boy was me!

A WHALE OF A MESS

JONAH WAS IN A WHALE OF A MESS! It may be funny but Jonah was.... in a..... whale of a mess. Yes, it is true because of Jonah's bad choice he got himself into that mess. The good news is when he repented and called out to God he made that mess so uncomfortable that it spewed him out. Have you made a bad decision that has gotten you into a whale of a mess and you thought there was no way out? Be of good cheer and celebrate the victory. God's answer is to repent and reverse your decision. Our body is the temple of God. We rarely pay attention to our bodies or how God instructs us to care for it. We fill our bodies with toxsines and fast foods. We don't get enough rest or relaxation or exercise. We fail to get quiet and listen to His voice. Beloved I wish above all things you may prosper and be in good health. Enough abuse to your body can cause you to end up with you in a whale of a mess. So let us make the mess so uncomfortable that it spews us out......... Lord forgive us for the neglect in some cases years of neglect for our body your Holy Temple. Thank you for preparing a way out even though our wrong decisions put us in this unhealthy position(mess). We repent and ask for your wisdom to whom you give to all men freely. We trust your word we ask that you collaspe time. We stand in the healing blood of Jesus. Thank you for this word. We believe we have made this mess so uncomfortable that it will spew us out. In Jesus name we touch and agree....AMEN!

THE ANOINTING

Psalms tells us when we gather together in agreement that something changes in the atmosphere and it is like the anointing. What is the anointing like? The Bible says it is like the dew that flows down from Mt. Hermon. Mt. Hermon is 9000 ft. Above sea level and flows 40 miles down to the Sea of Galilee then down to the Jordon River 127 miles to the Dead Sea 1300 ft. below sea level, the lowest point on earth. The anointing is like the oil that flowed down from AAron's head to the beard to when it gathered at the hem of the garment. It would seem to indicate that the most powerful anointing is not on the head but gathered at the lowest point. That is where we often meet God at the lowest point in our life and that anointing to heal save and deliver kicks in. Praise God for gathering in agreement which changes the atmosphere and kicks in the anointing at the lowest point at our life when we have no power within ourselves and must depend on Him. I touch and agree with you now to release the anointing in your life to conquer medical problems, to conquer the spirit of poverty that says we do not deserve better to establish His testimony in this earth to shine like a light as a city that can not be hidden. By the power and the authority of the blood of the lamb I call it done in Jesus name.
