ELIJH MUST COME BEFORE THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THELORD

I have heard many passionate preachers give out a message of fear that Jesus could come tonight in the next few minutes. That we better make ourselves right with God or we would end up left behind. I always thought to myself hasn't the man read the book? Jesus will not come back tonight or in the morning because Elijah must come first. This is the last promise given in the last book of the Old Testament in the last chapter....Behold Elijah the prophet must come before the great and terrible day of the Lord and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their sons and the hearts of the sons to their father's............ I have seen no evidence of the spirit of Elijah coming until the last few years, now their are many Christian men's organizations and conferences teaching fathers to be fathers and teaching sons to be fathers. To become the heart of the Father. When the Jews have their passover meal they set an empty plate at the table for an expected guest Elijah the prophet. The children open the door and call out his name inviting him in. They know when Elijah comes the Messiah will follow shortly. Recently a converted Jew explained that Elijah was the wild branch that provokes the original branch to Jesus. When Christ was on the mount of transfiguration with Moses and Elijah and him and his disciples went down the mountain the first question they asked him was about Elijah and he confirmed that Elijah must come first before the day of the Lord. Why not Moses? We know about Moses we know about his family we know he is of the original branch a Hebrew later known as Jews. We know nothing about Elijah or his family or background. They called him Elijah the Tishbite. Their is no country named Tishbi. The Hebrew translation means he was a stranger an alien in the land just as Ruth was an alien and became the great great grandmother of David whose line Christ came from. Elijah represents the wild branch the Gentiles. Eph. tells about two men becoming one new man referring to the circumcised and uncircumcised. We are seeing an enormous number of Christians come to the understanding that Passover is God's Holy Day, not a Jewish holiday. We are the Elijah (the wild branch) come to dinner to provoke the Jews to Jesus. That is good teaching beloved of God. I love you God Bless LINDA
